Top Ten Armies: 02/17/13

Blue2: Some minor edits made just after publishing, mainly regarding LT’s placement.

With the Clash of the Unforgiven II looming soon in the distance, let’s take a look at this week’s Top Ten.

A small note – from now on, the two different factions of the Shadow Troops will be distinguished by their site name (in parentheses  after their respective rankings.

1. Dark Warriors: The DW claim their long-awaited spot at first after a fantastic week. They began with several posts toward the owners of the army, announcing new regulations and rules, as well as recruiting guides. They had a few training events, averaging around 25. They went on with several more training/recruiting/attempted raid events, all around 25-30 as well. They finished off the week with an Australian Training event and an event on Frosty, where they maxed around 30.

2. Nachos: The Nachos started off a great week with an incredible PB against the Ice Warriors, maxing 30. They went on to defeat LT in a Practice Battle as well, and then held several training an practice sessions to prepare themselves for the Clash of the Unforgiven II, proving that they are able to maintain the sizes that sent them skyrocketing to the Top last week.

3. Golden Troops: The Golden Troops began a week embroiled in controversy with a fantastic training session and several announced events. They went on to announced an invasion of ACP, to avenge the wrongs which caused the fall of GT in Summer 2011. After a few more training events and much flame from ACP, GT began to consider war. When Riotors, the person at the center of the controversy, stepped up and said he did not want this done for him or simply for revenge, GT went on to cancel the invasion. They took Caribou from the Pirates, and then saw the surprising return of Jerry, who was ill and had planned to retire, to announce that the army’s performance in an event would decide whether or not he stayed in GT – the Clash of the Unforgiven was this event. Leader Wenny123abc also retired soon after, and Jerry remains undecided.

4T. Army of CP: ACP started off a good week with several recruiting sessions, maxing 15-20. They went on to capture Down Under and Walrus in Free Land invasions. Following former leader Kenneth1000’s promotion to 3ic, they had several more tactics drills and a UK/US recruiting. ACP went on to capture more free land on Snow Shoes, and then to defend Klondike from GT. Finally, they awarded the Medal of Honor to former leader Kenneth1000.

4T. Light Troops: The Light Troops have been working hard this week and retain a high spot in the Top Ten, tied with ACP. They began with a divisions practice battle, as well as the announcement that Tacos and Pirates were now colonies of LT. After an unfortunate loss to the Nachos in a PB, they held a Mammoth revival event. LT announced additional colonized armies, then defended Mammoth from DCP. LT also awarded the Medal of Honor to many of their past legends, and had a PB with the HSA, where they averaged 25.

6. Pirates: Pirates began a fairly disappointing week with the surrender of a war with the Pretzels. They later held a training session and a funeral for longtime Pirates soldier Reuben, who disappeared 3 months ago. They also had two more training sessions to prepare for the Clash of the Unforgiven earlier today.

7. Ice Warriors: IW started off with a loss in a PB against the Nachos, then held a UK training session and began to consider improving areas of the army. They later had a small training session and a recruiting, and prepared for the Clash of the Unforgiven.

8. Hot Sauce Army: The HSA began their second week in the Top Ten fairly poorly, but picked up towards the end. After a loss to ST in a Practice Battle, they held several training sessions and unscheduled events. They finished off with an impressive PB v.s. LT, averaging 25 and maxing over 30.

9. Army Republic: AR began an interesting week with a declaration from Burito about the reformed AR. They invaded several servers of free land to add to their empire, then later held a training session. Burito followed this with a declaration stating AR would not ‘always be there’ anymore, and said it was ‘[…] AR’s way of letting everyone know, don’t come talk to me or Vinny expecting for a hand me out.’ They finished off the week with several more training events and a PB with DW. They also participated in a Mammoth Revival event.

10. Pretzels: The Pretzels have now reached the Top Ten, and began a very active week with a PB against the HSA. They went on to hire a new leader and defend their capital against the Pirates, who soon called off the war. They claimed several more free land servers, maxing 20, and held a UK event maxing 15.

So that about does it for this week’s Top Ten. Most of the order was done by Bluesockwa1, with some slight editing by Bluesockwa2, who also wrote the descriptions.

  15. This is insulting. No offense to the creator but the Doritos maxed 18 at tacos pb with tactics, and maintaining a size of 15 thoroughout the entire week. We had the same size as pretzels as well at every event. We should at least be 10th.

  16. I am kind of surprised that I do not see the Spartans close to the Top 10. That 15th spot could of been the Spartans. We maxed 13+ at our last event! Can you please reply to my comment saying what we need to do to become a large army. Thanks.
