The 2013 Legends Inductions Results

Well, the results are in. Your Legends, Club Penguin Armies.

The votes have been tallied over what ended up being a 15-person council, with some people being removed and some being added to multiple issues. For the safety of those people, their names are kept secret in the results. Some of them are not permanent members of the council, and some are those listed as ‘incumbent’ members of the committee.

So, what is Legend? What does it get you? Legend is a title reserved for the greatest among us, those who did the best with what they could every single waking moment of their time here, who worked for change, good, or bad, and who have roused the public to new ideas, new heights, and everything in between. Legends commonly constitutes moderator on many army chats, including CPAC Chat, and, of course, bragging rights. I’ve taken the liberty of heading over to namefunk.com and grabbing the title for those of you who have been elected.

¢ρ.αяму.ℓєgєη∂

Now, doesn’t that look nice?

Of course, I’m sure you’re tired of me procrastinating, so I’ll get down to the results. In some cases, where people on the council are also being inducted, they are omitted from voting for themselves. As you will see, while there are 15 members who voted, some will have 14 total votes, and some 13. In some cases as well, people chose to abstain from the voting. That will be listed. Without further adieu, your results —

Revotes

Revotes were determined by some on the legends page who have had their status as legend challenged twice or more during their time on the page. To see the full rules for revoting, see the original 2013 Inductions Post here.  To note one other thing, the question asked was “Do you believe this person is a legend?” Yay constitutes believing they should remain on the page, and Nay constitutes believing they should be removed from the page.

    Like

    • How is it a popularity contest when the CP army council votes for the legends? The 15 members didn’t just consist of WA allies. It was split in a half, with probably B1 or B2 able to participate (idk) as the 15th person. And why would Water get legend? For leading a Euro army to 30+ or being a high rank in BA? Or maybe because he made himself become the most hated man in CP armies? Ioio though should have been there. I mean come on. 122344 gets elected but not Ioio (facepalm).

      • I meant Rob instead of Ioio. Sorry Ioio.

      • All elections/polls in CP armies are popularity contests. People only vote people because they are friends with them or because they like them, and they always vote against people they hate. No one these days has neither respect for one another, nor do they have honesty in them. People just vote their friends and vote against their enemies.

  16. Blue brothers are Legends? o.o

    Like

    • If blue brothers are legends the following people should be legend:
Unk, Rob, Skloop, Khimo, me (not a legend, but compared to blue brothers yes). Running CPAC does not deserve legend as that is ALL they have done. If this was a public vote, they would not have received legend.and that shows that the public would have been right in that case. This is wrong and I suggest you go to a public vote or withdraw this election because it is not right. If you ignore this claim then people will lose interest/faith in the legend induction system which has already been harmed as it is. I’m struggling to find many people who agreed with this decision apart from the questionable ‘comitee’ itself. Also, 2 people should NOT be inducted as partners as they are separate people. Bluesockwa has led more successful armies whereas blue2 has not, and Blue has probably been more active as head (which was also shown when I was head, where blue2 was less active). Although, Blue2 has been at CPAC longer (breaking the length record, with myself in 2nd and blue in 3rd). This needs major changing.

      • I completely agree with you. Although not on the Blue Brothers, the “council” votes.

I am absolutely baffled on how A held on to legend above Khimo and (dare I say) Wwebestfan. Maybe Khimo and Wwe don’t deserve it either, but they definitely deserve it over A and maybe even Trickster.

      • It is truly impossible to experiment if something works well or not without first testing it. While I too am somewhat questioning my election, believe me, I will be looking into committee reform.

However, in my defense, I do believe I have accomplished much as CPAC Head, arguably much than many before me. I have reformed the entire system of the media, for the most part done away with the claims of ACP Bias, led the site to new heights views-wise, and fostered some of CP Armies’ best politicians and writers during my term.

Does this warrant legend, you ask? Well, this is where two arguments can be made. I’m not sure as to which I believe myself at this time, but allow me to present both to you so as to clear the air. The first of the two is that all I have really accomplished is my headship of CPAC, for I have never led an army anywhere higher than fourth. The second argument is that if a person can be given legend for being the best leader of say, the Dark Warriors, or perhaps the ACP (as people certainly are), than why can people not be awarded with legend for being the best head of CPAC? Granted, Sklooperis accomplished most of the same things that Blue2 and I have. But at the time of his term, the idea that am I presenting — the notion that CPA Central heads can, infact, be given legend — was, for the most part, non-existant. Now, the notion is budding. Will it someday be accepted? Perhaps, but until that time it can be argued both ways.

To address the notion of ‘The Blue Brothers’ being elected instead of an individual — after both Blue2 and myself had been nominated by individuals polled, I suggested to him that because I did not believe either of us were legend, that we run as a team so as to give us a chance of election. I would argue you would do the same.

If you feel there are so many “grandly horrid issues” with this council, I suggest you submit our names for revoting come next election. But in the defense of the council — which I will defend, as Boomer and I formed it — I would argue that many people who deserve legend, such as Ioioluk and SaW, would never have been elected to legend status. This council is, infact, better than a public majority voting. Perhaps it is not perfect, as proved by this year’s voting, but as you and your anti “that side of armies” friends have been dominating the majority of these elections for ages, this move had to be made. It’s also impossible to rig this council if you would try to argue that, for a) you cannot rig a person’s mind and b) some 14 xats is a measly bribe if you’re going to try and say I or any of my colleagues bribed or tried to rig this system in any way, shape or form.

In closing, I’d like to say this. It’s a funny thing, change. At the creation of this council, it was widely supported because people were against the way the legends votings had been going in the past few instances. Now that we have met the people’s demands, they have new demands. Now, the question raised to light is “when does it end?”

It doesn’t. And that’s the problem.

        • The council will be right most of the time but when common sense comes into effect, the public is a much better judge of that as there are more people in the public. I think that you should have either a big council or a council that selects the people that should be nominated (to make sure they arent non-legends) for the public to then vote on.

          Like

          • That being said, what is ‘common sense’ to one is not to another.

            Like

            • If everyone thinks you shouldn’t be a legend, then it’s probably that side of common sense that’s right. Sometimes a council can’t speak for the entire cp army community and you can’t silence them with one, because there again will be personal reasons to remove or add someone.

  17. 122344a is not a Club Penguin Army Legend. If he is, then so am I.

I am not a legend yet, but I am close.

However if people like A are called legends, then I will call myself one aswell.

He hasn’t even lead AR to the top 5, and he basically got legend for saying he was in armies in 2006, yet he has absolute no proof.

Congratulations to those who got legend nonetheless, especially Ioio and SaW who should of been on the page about a year ago.

    • This may sound narcissistic but if 122344a is a legend then so should I be, he said so himself.
What has A done? Supposedly created AR in 2007 or whatever but didn’t lead them anywhere. The ones who did the were were Vinny, Burito, Austin and recently Capn. If A is a legend then Jamesbond1 should be one too, along with any creator of any army that was led into the top 3.
Once again, I’m glad people that actually deserve it like Saw, Puck and Ioio got legend because they deserve it.

  24. Puckley:
Puckley, was like no other soldier. He was one of the most dedicated Nachos ever. joining in February 2008 and still leading to this day(February 2013). He never missed a battle and always had good spirit. His excellent ideas got the Nachos very far, and without him they would be much different. Throughout all of Person1233′s leadership, Puckley was a Co-leader. Puckley could have had the same fame as Person1233, but he never complained. He did his work as Co-leader, and was one of the best Co-Leader’s/Leaders the Nachos ever had. He worked with Person1233 to organize most of the things that Person1233 is credited for, and Puckley is by far one of the greatest friends of the Nachos. Puckley is also known for leading in 2011 along with TanMan626. Together, they made the Nachos the best they have been in a very long time. Puckley was also voted CPAC leader of the year in 2012. He also defeated the mighty ACP empire during the summer of 2012(something that has not been done in a LONG time). Puckley will forever be remembered as one of the greatest leaders ever, and my best friend. Love ya bro. -Tan

    Tan:
Tan joined the Nachos in February of 2009 during the Golden Age of Nachos. He was arguably one of the best Nachos Leaders ever. Tan always had a good spirit and managed to obtain great leadership skills from the best. During his leadership Nachos successfully broke 75+ on Club Penguin and took ACP’s home capital Breeze away from them twice, and taking the great Mammoth from ACP once. Tan also has saved the Nachos from turmoil multiple times, returning to bring them out of the dirt. Tan is also known for helping defeat the mighty ACP empire during the summer of 2012. Tan retired officially from the Nachos in September of 2012. To this day, he still drops by during hard times for Nachos and usually brings them out. Without Tan, who knows where the Nachos would be today. Tan is forever, the big brother of the Nachos. He will always be remembered as one of the best.

  27. I think it’s great that Ioio and Puck, and especially Saw got legend status, because they 100% deserve it. But if b1 and b2 are legends, what does that make people like me?
They ran a news site, so special. CP armies could’ve been fine without them, dare I say better without CPAC in general because there would be no fear of losing a top 10 spot. Removing the top 10 is something Gill and I tried to do a few years back and almost succeeded but still.
Anyway, I have nothing against the blue brothers, but they certainly do not deserve legend status.

The question asked when a person is elected legend is not whether or not whether the community could have put-putted along without them, it is if the person elected has taken what they have been given and made the best of it. You, Unk, and SaW were the best Leaders of the Dark Warriors (arguably), and for that one of you is already legend, one of you has been legend and will probably be re-elected, and the third of you should be legend in my opinion but is nevertheless well on his way. Bluesockwa2 and I are the greatest Heads of CPAC (arguably), and for that we are submitted to legends voting, not even nominted by ourselves — as we would not nominate ourselves — but nominated by outside people polled as to who has achieved legend status from the 2011/2012 era. This is a budding idea, that being the best leader of a news site is just like being the best leader of an army. Whether it will be accepted is not yet decided, and we will be submitted to revoting come next election just as you have, that I am almost sure of, but as of now we have been elected by many powerful people with powerful opinions, and this is absolutely nothing that can be done about it. You say that you’re glad people like Ioio, Puck and SaW, who deserve legend have been elected. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the council was established after a discussion between Boomer, myself, SaW and Unknown, regarding that the public majority is biased, the very reason people like SaW and Ioio, who you say deserve legend, were not elected ages ago. This common sense you speak of cuts both ways. This common sense you speak of refused to elect SaW and Ioioluk, two of the most influential people of modern armies, to legend status on multiple occasions.

This common sense you speak of is bulls***.

      Have a nice day.

                  2. Ias
                  3. Skloop

And by the way funks, no one can beat Woton. Woton founded CPAC, however to clarify his first term was not that successful. Woton’s 2nd term had the second largest amount of views in site history, with myself and Blue’s in first. Skloop’s term had CPA Central at its best reputation-wise, Ias’s was brimming with new ideas, and yourself and Blue’s was brimming with public dissatisfaction, commonly on Top Tens. No one can really be the best Head as all of us have done different thinks for this site, but if you want to judge by persons viewing the site, myself and Blue2 win.
