The Results of the 1st Meeting of the CP Army Council

Note: This post is a summary of the Global Ceasefire Agreement initiated by the CP Army Council. Read the full bill here.

I will keep this short; the council has, after much fighting, agreed something needs to be done for armies. The idea on the table is for an opt-in ceasefire, effective until December 29th, 2012. What this means is that armies will be able but not forced to join this ceasefire, and once in, cannot attack or be attacked until the time is up. The intention is to allow the Council to get off the ground, and for armies to have a period of not being constantly killed by each other to rebuild. So, let the voting begin.

CP Army Council Proposition 00000101

Global Ceasefire Agreement, December 07, 2012: 20:20 Hours

The Opt-In Global Ceasefire Agreement allows those armies who join a period of rebuilding, recruiting and relative safety without fear of attack. Those armies that join the ceasefire cannot attack or be attacked by other armies during this time, and any invasions of or by them will be rendered Null and Void. This is a binding agreement, and should it pass, a signing period will be opened for those armies wishing to join. The CP Army Council will also be put into effect, as stated in a previous proposition, during this time.

Voting is open from 20:20 PM on Friday, December 07, 2012 until Sunday, December 09, 2012 at 24:00 Hours. Votes after that time are rendered invalid.

To pass, this agreement requires a 2/3 majority from the armies represented in the CP Army Council (major armies). You may either vote below, or vote on the original post HERE.

  5. So basically kill all the wars, right before a time lots of people can get active for a short span of time. This makes sense.

Boomer: We already have the CPAC Tournament, it’s not like there will be nothing to do. It also doesn’t end the wars unless people opt-in to protect themselves.

  10. If anyone is against this due to the fact you think CPAC are behind this ceasefire, they are not. The Black Alliance are, along with the council Boomer intends to form.

  11. Is there really a point for a cease fire? All armies have their ups and downs, why try to not let them have any downs? To me, that is not the point for armies. It is amazing how an army so big that only has one main recruiter, can fall to an army that wants to win, and army that recruits. I think this cease fire is pointless.. Also i agree with slimy. These rules just make armies a waste of time for people. The only thing that keeps troops active are events. Wars specifically, because it gives the troops something worthwhile.

Boomer: You can’t have war without rules, that’s what no one understands. We had army-wide agreement at the meeting that changes need to be made to the rules in order to make war more successful. The ceasefire is just giving us a 3 week period to do that.

  12. All too scared? there shouldn’t be any rules, Armies are ment for war, let there be war, it’s why we are here, there shouldn’t be a entire event dedicated to recruitment or training, that should happen on a daily basis as an induvidiual, and why the hell is there even a council, we all know someone is going to break it eventually,

Boomer: The ceasefire was initiated by people who weren’t even involved in the war, I think we just recognize there needs to be some sort of effectively system for war to actually work.

  18. “..will be forbidden from declaring war, invading, or raiding any army that has signed the document..”

I’m not sure it’s fair to let armies effectively run away from war. If said army did not sign the treaty, they should be able to attack those inside it. If you’ve signed, you are safe from other treaty members. If you did not sign, you shouldn’t be involved whatsoever with the treaty rules/information. Therefore, If It even counts, my decision is NAY!
