Xat and It’s Effects

“GIMMIE MOD NAO PL0X!” -Noob Recruit AKA Roughly 60% of Club Penguin Armies. Being in Club Penguin Armies, for over 6 years, troops have changed. Why? Well there is one reason, and it has received many flame posts towards it, the center of our community, the beloved Xat chatting groups. Ah yes, we communicate easier and meet many new people. Although, tell me, for every Pro there is a Con correct? Face it leaders, there is no ranks anymore, our ranks nowadays consist of Member, Mod, Owner. Now, ACP do not get mad in the comments saying “WE USE RANKS LOOK AT OUR JOINZ PAGE NAO!” Yes I know you obey the rules but, do your troops really care? All they want is mod/owner, that is their main goal, and some of them have high hopes such as leader, but rarely come that far. Troops often want mod, or they will quit for another army to satisfy their needs, let us take an inside look. Shall we?

Sure shows your loyalty. :3

There is hope though, not all troops have their hearts set on xat ranks. Some do not mind, and are truly dedicated to the army. Let us    take a look.                                    Very good boy.

Words cannot describe the difference between these two soldiers. They are so different, it is not explainable.

Partially, you may say I am hating on xat or dislike it, that is not entirely true. I love xat, and all the perks that come with it. I just do not admire what it has done to troops, can you? Back a while ago, many used to ask “Can I join the army?” nowadays it is mainly “Can I please quit?” What the hell happened, how can we solve this?

Diagnosis

“WHATS WRONG WITH THEM Y THEY NO LIKE MEH ARMYZ D:” Well, they are probably bored, or hate you or are interested in another army. It is not uncommon, and you are not the only one, many others have experienced the same issue you are having. It is common nature for troops to explore, but at times it gets out of hand and they entirely lose interest for your army and move on and just don’t care anymore. They will also begin to hate you because they quit, it is not out of the ordinary. Feels like right now I am diagnosing what is wrong with a little kid to be honest. Also the reason they are bored is because none of their friends are in the army,   and they feel left out, or not needed. “WAT DO WE DO, TELL MEH PL0X!”

Vaccine

Truly a sad day for Club Penguin Armies when we must cure our soldiers of their disrespectful ways. First off, don’t be a total ass to your soldiers, try and be their friend. Even if you pretend  to, it’s a white lie that can benefit your army, do not comment with “Z0MG U H4XX0R THATZ BAD FOR DA ARMYZ!!11!1!!” It’s a white lie, and I didn’t say to pretend to be their friend, I said if you HAVE to desperately then do it. Also keep your troops friendly, so they talk to the new recruits and they have friends, so they will have something to stay for, if it still doesn’t work, let them go. Odds are they may come crawling back.

Final Word

Xat, it’s not your fault, soldiers and even leaders abuse it. Xats=Currency.  Member,Mod, Owner= Ranks. Simple as that, you may also conduct an experiment. For those of you willing to take a dare: See if you could make an army with JUST an xat chat, no site. See how it works? It may just be the same as any other army with a chat, it may not be. Try it out 😉 If you are extremely defensive over xat and are pissed off at me for pointing out flaws it brings to club penguin armies, flaming in the comments with “XAT IZ AWESUM DONT U BE M4DZ BOUTZ IT U NOB!!” Comments like that will not change the post. With my final words to all of you. Remember, xat is a privilege. That is all I have to say for now. Kthxbai.

I’m kidding. Good post, though, A. As if it’s a sequel to your last one. 😛 Good advice, as well!

  5. When I was active in my final months, the highest I asked for was mod as a request, if I didn’t get the rank I requested then it didn’t bug me, I just went with it and worked up. Now even though I didn’t join many armies, I still had that philosophy along with my ideal “I stick with one or two armies, no more.”

  12. This post is entirely truthful, and states an obvious fact. Soldiers have indeed changed from many years ago, when CP warfare was largely not using XAT or high-social ends of direct communication.

  13. CP warfare itself has become driven by social ends and means and ambitions mostly, rather than more serious, deeper drives, such as ultimate success and long-term accomplishment for the army itself. This evolving has led to the rise of leadership social faces (Ioioluk, Roberto, NP, Saw, etc) who are almost seen by many younger soldiers as a sort of big brother.
